If you can't find a book that should be on the library shelves, first double-check the shelfmark and library location to make sure you are looking in the right place! Also consider:

  • Books with a '+' prefix are 'oversized' and are shelved in a separate sequence to 'standard sized' books
  • A book marked as a 'recent return' could be still in the returns area on level 2, or it could be in the awaiting re-shelving area on the relevant floor

If you still can't find what you are looking for, please visit the Help and Information desk and speak to a member of staff. We will search for the book on your behalf and get in touch when we locate it.

If we are unable to find the book, after a week you will be entitled to a free Inter-Library Loan, which can be requested through our Inter-Library Loan Request Form
