  • There are many great benefits and improvements with our new library system! 

    • Patrons now have greater access to far more resources. 

    • Library users only incur fines if they keep books which have been reserved by other readers.   

    • Requests for scan and deliver, new books and inter-library loans are much simpler with separate request forms and the option to send requests via the Discover catalogue.

    • Library users’ data is now stored much more securely.  

    • Automatic renewals for 365 days means that you now don't have to log in to your Library account each time you want to renew a book loan. 

    • Book availability for all users will be improved with a more active reserve service. 

    • It is now easier than ever to find resources in the library as Discover’s advanced search provides users with the means to locate sources by location, source type, query words, phrases, author, publication date and language.  

    • Email communications when your books are due for return is much improved. 

    • Students can now access reading lists via Discover.
